Decisions Not Made

I need to trust my long term investment instincts.

Stocks I wanted to purchase between 2000-2002 but did not for one reason or another:

Sears

Amazon.com

Stocks I wanted to buy in 1991 but was talked out out of doing by a so-called "professional" who wanted to sell her company's loser of a mutual fund instead:

Apple (bought later at $20/share)

Alcoa

Bloomberg.com - $100 Oil Price May Be Months Away, Say CIBC, Goldman

This is interesting because higher prices have not increased supply and:
``There are questions about whether the oil industry can keep up with demand,'' U.S. Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman said last week, commenting on the Petroleum Council report.

Isn't this what happens when oil production has peaked?

Baseball Is Having A Ball

Fox Sports Sells Out MLB All-Star Game

The network has been commanding prices around $400,000 per 30 second spot, up from $375,000 last year. Last year's inventory sold out approximately two weeks before the game. And while the television ratings of the NBA playoffs were an air ball this spring, both Fox Sports and ESPN have already been banking strong baseball numbers. Fox is averaging an all-time-high 3.7 million viewers for its Saturday baseball package, up from 3.3 million last year. ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball telecasts averaged 3.1 million viewers for the first nine games, up 45% from the 2.14 million average for the 10 telecasts through this time last year.
