Attacking People For What They Are Good At Doing

Senators McCain and Clinton have both gone after Obama because he's an eloquent speaker. Isn't the best of Americana represented by being good at what you do? What is next? Criticizing Jon Stewart because he's funny, attacking Steve Jobs for inventing the friggin' iPod?

How is a President supposed to persuade Congress or the public? With a magic show or persuasive speech?
